BO’NESS UNITED MATCH SUMMARY SEASON 2025/2026
Date – Saturday 13 December 2025
Competition – Park’s Motor Group Lowland League
Albion Rovers 1
(McMillan 50)
Bo’ness United 1
(Mitchell 3 pen)
Bo’ness United halted the string of defeats as they battled the conditions as well as their opponents to gain a point at Albion Rovers. The BUs got off to a great start going ahead in four minutes Kieran Michell converting from the spot after he was brought down in the box. Rovers reacted with a shot from Grant Marchant saved by BU keeper Allan Fleming but it was Bo’ness who created more including a Jack Hodge shot saved by home keeper Alfie Halliwell and a Tom Grant free kick that curled just wide of the far post.
Unfortunately Bo’ness were unable to add to their tally and five minutes into the second half Rovers equalised, a free kick cross into the box headed home by Adam McMillan. Bo’ness responded positively getting the ball forward though as the half progressed Albion Rovers began to get up the park more often and only a great block from Allan Fleming thwarted Nathan Brown. As the game neared its conclusion there were opportunities for both sides and just before the end U20s Connor McMinn got a shot in but Alfie Halliwel made the save.
The wind and rain largely spoiled this game though Bo’ness managed some good football in the first half. As the match progressed conditions deteriorated as did the football overall but both teams deserve credit for their positive outlook and efforts to win the points
