Bo’ness United had to be satisfied with a share of the points at home to Cowdenbeath where although the BUs had chances to win it, the draw was probably a fair result. In the first few minutes Adam Masson fired a shot just over the Cowdenbeath bar while at the other end a Dylan Mauchin shot was comfortably saved by BU keeper Sam Gardner. The BUs put together another couple of good moves that only lacked the finish while Cowdenbeath responded with their own efforts in what was developing into an open game. Bo’ness edged the possession but just before the break it was the visitors who took the lead, the BU players waiting on an offside decision that never came, Dylan Mauchin playing on to fire home an angled shot.

The second half was of a similar vein with chances created and spurned, the visitors looking dangerous when they got forward. The BU faithful were wondering whether it was to be another blank Saturday but thankfully Bo’ness made the breakthrough with a Keir Macaulay corner that found the far top corner of the net. Before the end Shaun Brown beat keeper Dion Gear with a low shot only for Finlay Ness to clear off the line.

The game moved into time added on with both sides still looking for the winner, the referee finally calling a halt to what was a well fought and entertaining encounter.
