Another home match for the BU tonight at our home away from home in Camelon and the 1st of 2 league games back to back against Dalkeith. Tonight’s game is the penultimate league match for the BU in Conference B with the return at Dalkeith this coming Saturday the last leaving only cup ties to play afterwards.
It should be a confident Home side this evening with Max Christie still remaining unbeaten in all games in charge so far.

Into tonight’s game then and as per usual the good Home support was out to cheer on the team on what was a decent night for football. The home side started the brightest and Marty Wright had a chance early on as he got on the end of a through ball and fired towards goal. As both teams then enjoyed some possession there wasn’t many chances of note the only thing keeping Marshall occupied in the BU goal was to clutch a cross ball easily. 17 minutes in and the opening goal came a long throw into the visitors box was met by the head of Morgan who nodded past the visiting keeper with ease as the home side went 1-0 in front. The game started to open up and a shot fizzed closely past the visiting keepers post. On the break Dalkeith came forward and the ball was hit into Marshall’s net but the flag was already up for offside long before it went in. Another chance for the home side and a free kick swung into the box but it was well cleared. Forward came the visitors again and cross into the box took a deflection and could have went anywhere, fortunately it fell to Hunter who cleared away any danger. Another ball was soon put over the home sides box in what was a brilliant cross, it was attacked and met with a header but the ball went wide of the left hand post. A through ball looked promising for the home side only for Wright to be flagged off side. With 3 minutes of the half to go forward came the visitors and foul by Snowdon saw him booked and a free kick just out side the box in the centre of goal. The home side had a big defensive wall ready to block it but the ball was curled low around them to the right of Marshall, he got down well and made a good save. That was to be the final action of the half as it ended BU 1 - 0 Dalkeith.

Into the 2nd half after a quick half time turn around the home side got the game back underway. Within minutes the home side had the ball in the net a fantastic through ball from Wright found Stevenson who calmly slotted past the visiting keeper only for the flag to go up for offside as the ball hit the net. The home side were enjoying the possession easily on with some good passes but nothing to trouble the visiting keeper. A great chance came when Morgan burst through from mid field and was tripped he got back to his feet quickly and still had the ball so the referee payed advantage, it was passed through towards the 6 yard box but intercepted and cleared. 17 minutes into the half and the 2nd goal did come however, Prentice picked the ball up wide and ran into the box, with Wright screaming for a pass across goal Prentice took the shot on himself anyway and drilled the ball past the keeper at his near post. BU 2 - 0 Dalkeith. The visitors got forward on the restart and a 1st time shot may have provided trouble but the touch taken allowed an easy defensive clearance. A free kick out wide for the visitors provided a chance to get a ball into the box, it was well dealt with and went for a corner. Forward then came the home side again and into the box, down went Stevenson inside the box and with the referee just yards away he chose not to point to the spot but instead book Stevenson for diving. 20 minutes to go and BU Gaffer Max Christe made a change Stevenson off and Keast on. A good ball into the box bu Morgan from a free kick found Syme rushing in at the back post, he got his shot away well but the visiting keeper was quickly down to his right and made the save. Another great dead ball delivery by Morgan this time from a corner gave the next chance of the match it somehow went all the way through the 6 yard box with no one touching it. The visiting keeper was busy again as Syme linked up with Morgan and the ball had to be cleared from the box, it only went as far as Wright who hit it towards goal and as it was deflected it went wide with the keeper doing well to stop it going for a corner. A very rare break up the pitch came for the visitors this half and they got a corner. It was swung in and Marshall got something on it but as the ball got to the edge of the box it was curled back towards goal and into the net with a fine strike. BU 2 - 1 Dalkeith with 9 minutes to play. After dominating the half the home side were letting the visitors into the game again slightly and another corner had to be dealt with followed by a shot that went wildly over the bar. Into the final minutes and it was now clear to see why the referee kicked the game off sharp and had a quick half time turn around as the light was now fading fast. Hunter headed the ball away after the visitors crossed into the box then the home side got forward trying to see the game out. A long ball forward sent Dalkeith forward again and Hunter stuck a boot out to clear sending the ball spiralling into the air and thankfully no where near goal. The BU again pushed out and as they broke forward up went the linesman’s flag on the far side. After conversation with the referee a straight red card was shown and without complaint from the player the visitors were down to 10 men. Another chance came and went for the home side as a ball was sent low across the box but again it missed everyone as it rolled through. With no more action the match ended BU 2 - 1 Dalkeith.
