Tynecastle 0-0 Bo'ness United

Bo’ness United were unable to break down a stubborn Tynecastle defence at Meggetland, the draw means the dropped points have the BUs slipping to fourth place in the Conference B Table.
The first half saw few clear-cut chances although early on Robert Watt, the Tynecastle keeper had to be quick off his line to stop Tiwi Daramola getting onto a Marty Wright through pass. Daramola was again in action in 33 minutes with a cross that was deflected for a corner. Two minutes after this Tynecastle managed to create an opportunity as Bo’ness blocked a Chris Milligan effort but the ball came back in and BU keeper Andy Murphy did well to palm away Matthew Combe’s shot on goal.
Into the second half and Allan MacKenzie replaced Daramola and made an immediate impact, getting a couple of low crosses into the danger area. Bo’ness were making all the running, Tynecastle content to play deep making it difficult for the visitors to find their way to goal. Nicky Prentice had a shot that was well wide and a header he did well to win but couldn’t find the target. Marty Wright also had a header that went over and a good Stevenson shot was deflected for a corner.
Bo’ness continued to push forward and substitute Chris Donnelly had a shot from the edge of the box and a header but once again the BUs were unable to make the breakthrough. Stuart Hunter connected with a Michael McMullin corners, the header hitting the side net and in the last minute only a great save from Watt stopped Hunter’s goal bound header going in.
At the whistle Tynecastle celebrated the point but BU players and fans alike were disappointed not to get the win their second half superiority deserved.
