Club Update.

Now that the redevelopment work has started at Newtown Park, tonight the club can confirm that we will be playing our remaining home games for this season at Carmuirs Park, the home of Camelon Juniors. This has now been ratified by the East of Scotland FA, as it had to be a registered EOS ground we moved to, and we would like to thank the board of Camelon for their offer of assistance to our club in our time of need.

Fixtures. At the moment the rest of our league campaign has been scheduled and all the dates are on our website. The only uncertainty pertains to cup ties. In the League Cup we host Tynecastle on Saturday the sixth of April with the winners heading to Newtongrange three days later in the next round. For clarity, the draw has been made for the rest of the competition already. In the last eight, either ourselves, Tynecastle or Newtongrange will travel east to take on Tranent. There’s too much football to be played to concern ourselves with looking further ahead than that at the moment. With regards to the King Cup, we will be away from home once more but we are some way from knowing our opponents in the quarter finals. On Wednesday the twenty-fourth of April, Bonnyrigg will host Edinburgh United with the winners to face Jeanfield Swifts for a crack at us in the last eight. It appears certain that our game will be played in early May.

The club are also looking for volunteers to join our media team for next season. All aspects of our output will be getting looked at and hopefully improved. That’s everything from filming games to social media and the general match day experience. If anyone is interested please get in touch and we can arrange a chat, exchange ideas and prepare for the upcoming season.

Our Christmas bonus ball competition has proven to be popular and we are almost at capacity for entries. Only two balls remain and it would be great if we could get these sold ASAP. See Jennifer or contact our webteam for more details.
